Our Mission: We seek and respond to the word and will of God, walking together in the ways of Jesus Christ, made and to be made known to us.

From the time when our Edgewater neighborhood was a collection of struggling farms to now when it is one of the most thriving areas of Chicago, we have tried to be a sanctuary, a sacred place where people can come to know God and their neighbors.  We are small in number, but deep in experience.  We range in age from 2 to 98, and have all kinds of different family configurations.  Some of us have been Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist or Presbyterian, and some of us have no church background at all. Some of us have worshipped here for more than 50 years, and some of us for a few months.  At this point in our lives, while some of us are walking through shadowed valleys and some of us see grace shining as brightly as the sun rising over Lake Michigan, we all desire to live lives that show God's love and increase truth, justice and peace in this world.
